many times, but being on separate motorcycles without helmet
communication, we could never discuss the beauty that is the
Columbia Gorge in real time. So, it was a treat to get to 'smell
the roses' and then talk about this amazingly beautiful part of the
country. The Gorge looks pre-historic to me and except for a few
houses, it remains the same as when Lewis and Clark first saw it—

German masterpiece down Hwy 14.
After driving the Klickitat River Road, a few of us headed over
to the Maryhill Winery on Saturday afternoon to do some wine
tasting and purchasing. Back at the hotel, we started 'cocktail hour'
at 6pm, with the banquet starting at 7pm. There was good food and
making new friends was the 'icing on the cake' of a really great
weekend. Greg put together one heck of a great event that was run
with military precision (meant in a good way :>) Thanks, Greg! I
look forward with keen anticipation for the next PNWR Maryhill
Tour. Oh, and did I mention that I just love my new Porsche!
