A motion Not Present – No Report Submitted Present - Report Submitted Check the Spiel for the information on the Enumclaw Wine and Chocolate Festival on February 4th from 5pm till 9pm. Database Coordinator - Leeds Gulick: Present- Report Submitted There are 1610 members of whom 1254 are dues paying. 1405 copies of the Spiel were mailed last month. We have talked previously about collecting dues electronically. There are almost 2000 members in our database and only 500 of them can be matched to their PCA numbers. There are also another 20 that are typos in the MotorsportsReg Database. 40 different numbers have multiple people registered under the same PCA number. MotorsportsReg is fine for making payments, but it would be impossible for us to clean up the database. We could give members detailed instructions on paying through MotorsportsReg. Depending on when a member joins, the dues are pro-rated. That prevents them from being overcharged for getting the Spiel. If we did our dues at the same time as PCA National it would eliminate this issue. Leeds suggested, that given our financial situation, we have people get the Spiel free the first year. We now have a 78% compliance rate. We would then bill them $20 the second year in January. We average between 5 & 7 new members per month. We used to have a 95% compliance rate when we paid National and Regional dues at the same time. Leeds suggested we include an explanation of what we're doing in our Welcome Package. Mary suggested continuing collecting dues the way we have in the past, and ask members if they would like to have a notice sent electronically. We could give members the option of paying dues electronically. It was decided to look at options to have the members set up an account with MotorsportsReg; to clean up our records; and to have members choose how they want to make their payments. Dues stuffing is January 14th in 2013. We could give members the option of paying dues electronically or through snail mail. Driver Education - Tom Pritchett: Not Present – No Report Submitted Chief Driving Instructor – Velle Kolde Not Present – No Report Submitted Driver Skills – Robert Durff: Not Present - Report Submitted The last 2011 Driver Skills day was 10/30. No events in November or December. Driver Skills will take 9 of the 11 dates negotiated with BMP for our 2012 events. Past years have shown that 9 events total is sustainable; more than that is not reasonable with our instructor and volunteer corps. We will likely use 1 of the 2 extra dates to run an instructor clinic, absorbing the costs of this into our 2012 budget. Driver Skills Leadership Team will meet this month to work out the details of our 2012 events, who will be lead at which event, and how to structure an instructor clinic if we decide to hold one. Spiel Editor - Barb Coplen: Not Present – No Report Submitted Goodie Store - Ted and Kathy Vander Hoek Present - Report Submitted There is a new logo on the Goodie Store Page. We have a number of coffee mugs and books. Membership – Jay Gillotti Present - Report Submitted In keeping with what Leeds recommended, six (6) new members joined in November, but 14 joined PCA. For December there are currently 8 new PCA members, but 5 for PNWR. Anyone Club Event www.pnwr.org January 2012 41
