AUGUST 2019 54 Glenn Curtis 2018 Porsche Panamera Turbo S e-Hybrid Executive My passion for automobiles was sparked in my youth by Matchbox and Dinky Toys cast metal cars. To this day I still have many of these vintage sets saved away from my early years. As I played with them I imaged what it would be like to drive them. Later as I studied car magazines while growing up, it became clear I liked racing and sports cars the most. My dad taught me how to drive and work on cars, which were predominantly Volkswagens. However, despite coming to own numerous VWs, I still knew Porsches were in my future. This dream resonated with even more determination when I first saw a Guards red Porsche 911 Turbo whale tail with black Fuchs wheels. Fast forward to today, I am blessed with a wonderful wife, Tami, two awesome sons Jack and Ryan, and a rewarding career in technology. I enjoy watching nearly all forms of motorsports, which I also attribute to my Dad's influence. My first Porsche was a 1988 911 Carrera in Guards Red (had to be). In 2017, to thank me for my valued work, a business partner offered to get me any car I wanted. "Are you sure, really? ANY car? " It was not an easy decision. In the end I went for a Panamera, but not just any Panamera—a Turbo S e-Hybrid Executive! After waiting 14 months it was finally delivered on May 14, 2018. I could not be happier with how it came out, how wonderful it is, how enjoyable, and how proud it makes me. I have taken it to many local car exhibits, as well as RennSport Reunion VI. It was humbling to have it win the Viewers' Choice Award at the PCA PNWR Grand Display concourse event. 60 TH PNWR ANNIVERSARY K A R L N O A K E S P H O T O G R A P H Y
