This year we are celebrating the club's 60th Anniversary. As our annual tradition has it, we will be grilling and socializing at the Tolt McDonald Barn, and parking on the lawn. Be sure to bring your hot dogs and hamburgers, along with a side dish, salad and/or dessert to share. The club will provide soda, water, paper plates, napkins and utensils. You'll also want to bring your favorite picnic blanket and chairs for seating in the grass. Don't forget to polish up your Porsche, as Dennis Rood will be overseeing our Show 'N Shine tradition. Awards will be given for general presentation, condition, uniqueness, and preparation. No opening of doors or storage areas for judging.There is no cost for this event. Register and Details at www.pnwr.org Tour to Whistler Weekend Friday August 23rd 8:30am to 5:00pm Starting location: at Smokey Point Rest Stop (Mile Post 207) 8.2 Miles North of Marysville Ending location: The Aspens 4800 Spearhead Dr.,Whistler, BC Limited to 50 Porsches. Meet at Smokey Point Rest stop by 9:00 AM to form into groups. Drivers meeting at 9:15 AM, first group out at 9:30 AM. 3 to 4 groups. Proceed on back roads through Whatcom and Skagit Counties and Chuckanut Drive. Lunch stop at noon at the Dutch Mother's in Lynden, Washington. Make your own sandwich, coffee, tea, soft drinks, tax & tip $16.50. Pay as you leave. Cash preferred. Gas your car and form up to get through the border. Group leaders will wait for you on the other side of the border. Rest stop at 3:00 PM at MacDonald's in Squamish for Ice Cream. Tour concludes at Whistler at approximately 4:00 PM. Check into your hotel and go to the Beer and Brats reception at Registration. Tour to Whistler Weekend Club Event All Porsche Grand Display at Carillon Point, Kirkland Sunday September 8th Open to the public 9:00am to 2:30pm Please visit www.pnwr.org for details, event schedule and register to show your car. Deadline is September 1st however early planning is advised. Any questions contact Dennis Rood at concours@pnwr.org. 425.647.3739 All Porsche Grand Display at Carillon Point, Kirkland Cars to arrive by designated group for placement between 7:00am and 8:30am. Doors open to public at 9:00am. Coffee and pastry to start for all members placing their cars. Soda and water will be available all day. Welcome and announcements at 9:15am, two classes (topics TBD) at 9:30am-10:30am and 12:00pm-1:00pm, (Class-TBD). Noon Lunch break. Judging will commence at 11:00am and end at 1:30pm. Awards at 2:00pm, 2:30 end of show. Jazz will be played all day both recorded and live by Seattle Teen Music Group. Porsche Bellevue will have a Porsche Design and products booth on site once again. This is our 8th year for this event at Carillon Point. Admission: $15 per car and driver, $10 for attendees, and 12 and under free. All proceeds benefit Evergreen Health Hospital.
