OCTOBER 2019 4 Tuesday, October 8th Show up at 5:00pm, Drivers meeting 5:30pm, Depart at 6:00pm Starting location: Black Diamond Bakery 32805 Railroad Ave., Black Diamond, WA Ending location: Jimmy Mac's Roadhouse 225 SW 7th St., Renton, WA Join us for the last Happy Drive and Social combo tour of the year! This tour is intended for those who work and maybe can't even get free on the weekends, thus the late meeting time and dinner rather than lunch. The drive will be no more than an hour, meaning we will get to Jimmy Mac's around 7 pm. They will have 40 seats reserved for us. This is a roadhouse atmosphere with multiple TV's, country and western music and all you can eat peanuts with peanut shells on the floor while you wait for your food. They have a full menu from light fare to steaks. The fresh, hot yeast rolls with whipped honey butter are to die for. Suggestion: order the crawfish chowder instead of fries or salad if you like chowder! Join us for lively conversation. Of course, they sell t-shirts, too! Happy Drive and Social at Jimmy Mac's Roadhouse in Renton Maximium 26 cars or 40 people, whichever comes first. Registration opens Monday, September 9th and closes Tuesday, October 2nd Register at: www.pnwr.org More information and question contact: Greg Halverson www.tours@pnwr.org Happy Drive and Social at Jimmy Mac's Roadhouse in Renton Saturday, October 12th – Sunday, October 13th Show up at 8:00am, Drivers meeting 8:30am, Depart at 9:00am Starting location: Monroe Plaza, 19829 US-2, Monroe, WA Ending location: Winthrop, WA Join us for our "One Last Pass Tour" because it won't be long before WSDOT will close Highway 20 (Cascades Highway) for the winter. Let's just hope that doesn't happen before this tour! This tour replaces the previously planned San Juan's Friday Harbor Tour due to the fact that where we wanted to stay had a two night minimum and that didn't lend itself to a block reservation. We haven't done the North Cascades tour in a couple years so this should be gorgeous with the fall colors and crisp air! Time and weather permitting, we'll stop at Washington Pass and take the short hike out to the observation area for some stunning views down into the Methow Valley below. Watch this website and MSR for details on lodging. Dinner will be at Carlos 1800 Mexican Grill and Cantina in an area reserved for our group. Sunday is a day on your own to either head back early by reverse route on Hwy 20 or continue the Cascades Loop down to Hwy 2 and back through Steven's Pass or stop in Leaven- worth, then backtrack a few miles and take Hwy 97 south over Blewett Pass and I-90 home. One Last Pass Tour Maximium 36 cars. Registration opens Monday, September 16th and closes Monday, October7th.
