DECEMBER 2019 50 Deanna Johnson 1989 928 S4 In 2010, after a few years of being 'Porscheless in Tacoma', my hubby Adrian and I knew it was time to find another 928. Adrian had previously owned a 912 and a 911 Targa, but we became true converts with our first 928, a 1984 S4. Our good friend and mechanic, Leif Johnson referred us to an original owner selling an exceptionally well-maintained car that fit our budget. Soon we were proudly driving and enjoying our beautiful 1989 guards red 928 S4. Besides the original paint and interior, some features that make our car special are: the limited slip differential, sport shock absorbers, adjustable Bilstein suspension, 993 twin turbo brake calipers, and 928 GTS rotors. PCA PNWR membership has been a pleasure. Over the years we've enjoyed many of the concours, shows, tours, banquets, and other events. We've been honored to have received several awards and recognition for our car, as well as a number of photos and articles in Spiel. We especially enjoyed several tours to Cannon Beach, Oregon. The 928 was always fantastic on the road. The PCA PNWR leaders and members truly make the club great. I am exceedingly grateful for all the kindness, support, and tributes from the club in memory of Adrian this past year.
