Guitar for Beginners
Have you always wanted to play guitar but didn't know
where to start? Dust off your guitar and join instructor
Ford Giesbrecht as you learn the fundamentals in this
fun and rewarding class. Discover the guitar basics to
get you playing in no time. Do you have a song you
have always wanted to play? Bring a list of your 5
favorite songs and one of them will be chosen to learn
at class. Bring your guitar, join Ford and get the music
started! Don't have a guitar? Guitars may be rented
from the instructor for $50. Class not held April 27 or
May 25.

Gourd Carving and Decorating
In this open studio format, gourds can be carved, wood-
burned and painted for a finished look. Gourds come
in all shapes and sizes which are perfect for decorating
into your own individual masterpiece. From earrings to
baskets and everything in between, let your creativity
soar. Bring your own project and tools. Share ideas
and learn techniques from fellow artists. This drop-in
program costs $5 payable onsite each day you attend.

Driftwood Sculptures
Learn how to turn a piece of driftwood into an amazing
piece of art. Artists and non-artists alike enjoy this
program. Driftwood and basic tools provided. Bring a
towel with you to class.

Woodcarving
Carve beautiful things out of wood in this open studio
format. Both experienced and beginning woodcarvers
are welcome. Students teach one another and share
techniques. Bring your own tools and decide what kind
of project you would like to pursue. Bark, soft woods,
toys, ornaments or burned wood are just a few projects
being worked on each week. This drop-in program
costs $3 payable onsite each time you participate.

ADULT ACTIVITIES
Guitar Beyond Beginner
Join instructor Ford Giesbrecht to build on the
fundamentals while playing with others. This class is
a continuation of the introductory class with further
focus on rhythm and chords applied to simple songs. If
you have taken guitar but are still a beginner, then this
class is for you. Build confidence and have fun playing
while gaining knowledge of your guitar. Class not held
