OCTOBER 2020 18 OCTOBER 2020 C O N C O U R S C O R N E R Dennis Rood Hi to everyone hunkered down inside due to Covid-19, as well as the smokey and unhealthy air we are experiencing as I write this. It certainly has been a weird time. Unfortun- ately, PNWR club activities have been especially hard hit. Almost everything has been canceled. It looks like we will get in one Autocross and one tour has been confirmed, the NW Cascades tour to Sun Mountain. The club used to take this tour nearly every year, but this will be a first time in quite a while. I have noticed some great articles in Panorama lately about people who have competed in concours who never thought they would get involved, but happily have made many new friends. Even though cars are the focus of concours events, most of the joy comes in meeting other Porsche people. I encourage you to read about the Sepia Brown 1973 911S featured in a recent Panorama. Keep faith that a vaccine and better treatments for Covid-19 will be found soon so we can get back to a more normal way of life. As always, I am happy to help with any questions and hope that I see you again soon at a real concours event. Below is Darryl Deppe's fourth installment about the restoration of his 356. What he has done with this car that started out in rather sad condition is truly amazing. Some- day soon we hope to have a restoration session at his shop in Woodinville.
