Helping Young, Beginning Producers Grow Helping young, beginning producers start their own businesses is an integral part of the cooperative mission at Northwest FCS. AgVision is our nationally recognized program available to young, beginning and small producers with at least one of the following characteristics: • 35 years of age or younger. • 10 years or less agriculture experience. • Annual gross farm production of less than $350,000. Financing Options We offer AgVision financing for: real estate purchases, operating expenses, livestock and equipment purchases, interest-only loans and fishermen financing for vessel purchases, permits, equipment and quota shares. Program Features • Less restrictive underwriting standards – Customers who might not qualify under normal programs might qualify under AgVision standards. • Competitive interest rates – All qualifying loans receive preferred rates. • Reduced or waived fees – Applicants receive fee reductions or waivers, depending on circumstances. • Knowledgeable staff – AgVision program participants work closely with Northwest FCS staff to build financial management skills as they develop their operations. • Educational benefits – AgVision participants are invited to attend financial and management education conferences and workshops. Participants may also be reimbursed for a variety of technology purchases and educational expenses. "We used the technology voucher to purchase a new laptop and external hard drive. And, the best decision we made was attending the Young Beginning Producers Conference. We learned a lot and met people in similar situations. We've been able to build an advisory board of people to call when something arises. They'll either give us their firsthand experience, or they'll point us in direction of someone who can help us out. It's been a blessing." – Chris and Elizabeth Brown, Genesee, Idaho. Register Register for the Young & Beginning Producers Conference
