A Long Lap to Langley II Saturday August 6th 8:00am – 5:00pm Meet at the Maltby Cafe, 8809 Maltby Rd., Snohomish, WA Drivers meeting at 8:30, first group departs at 9:00. The "second annual" Long Lap To Langley takes a picturesque sojourn over the rural roads of NW Washington, starting with a fabulous country breakfast at the Maltby Café (optional) and finishing in Langley on Whidbey Island. From Maltby we'll head north and west crossing over to the coastal region near Marysville and continuing northward. Lunch will be at the Farmhouse Restaurant along Highway 20. Crossing onto Fidalgo Island we'll tour to Washington Park in Anacortes with beautiful views of the San Juan Islands. Next we'll drive up 1300' Mt. Erie, with dramatic vistas to south including Mt. Rainier. Continuing south onto Whidbey Island, we'll tour the south end of the island, an undiscovered treasure. Our tour will end with a causual meandering through Langley, with a multitude of art galleries, craft shops, clothing, and food. Return to mainland will be by WA State ferry at Clinton or individually drive via reverse route or route of your choice back to Seattle. Ladies Only Grab those Keys! Sunday, August 21st 9:00am to 2:00pm Join us for the first of its kind (for PNWR anyway) Ladies Only Tour! This is intended to be a relatively short driving tour on the back roads around the Cascades foothills and ending at Red Hook Brewery in Woodinville for a pay-as-you-go lunch. Imagine the conversation with all ladies and no men. Yes, no men for lunch either. Feel free to contact Mary Jo Barlow with any great ideas you may have to enhance the day. Show time 9:00, driver's meeting 9:30, depart 10:00. We will start at the Krispy Kreme in Issaquah. The driving route will be local to the greater Puget Sound area and about 2 - 3 hours long. Tour to Whistler, BC Cross Border US/Canada Joint Meet Friday August 26th Limited to 50 Porsches. Meet at Smokey Point Rest Stop (Mile Post 207) 8.2 Miles North of Marysville We will meet at 9:00 AM to form into groups. Drivers meeting at 9:15 AM, first group out at 9:30 AM. 3 to 4 groups. Proceed on back roads through Whatcom and Skagit Counties and Chuckanut Drive. Lunch stop at noon at the Dutch Mother's in Lynden, Washington. Make your own sandwich, coffee, tea, soft drinks, tax & tip $16.50 Pay as you leave. Cash preferred. Gas your car and form up to get through the border. Group leaders will wait for you on the other side of the border. Rest stop at 3:00 PM at MacDonald's in Suquamish for Ice Cream. Tour concludes at Whistler at approximately 4:00 PM. Check into your hotel and go to the Beer and Brats reception at Registration. Concours at Whistler BC US/Canada Joint Meet Saturday August 27th 9:30am - 4:00pm US/Canada Joint Meet Blackcomb Black Market Square at Whistler Resort Area Limited to 30 Porsches Event details: Whistler Lite judging for the 30 car judged concours. Display/Show and Shine for all others not registered for the judged concours-come into square after judged cars.
