youth education 21 Northwest Farm Credit Services 4-H and FFA Youth Development Ag-related youth development programs provide an excellent training ground for the next generation of producers. Annually, Northwest FCS supports 4-H clubs and FFA chapters at both the state and local levels. Youth Education and Scholarships Nothing is more critical to the future of agriculture than providing rural youth the education and tools they need to compete in the marketplace. Helping new generations learn and grow by supporting their opportunities for higher education has been a long-time com- mitment of Northwest FCS. Through our support of many education and scholarship programs, we help ensure they have the knowledge and skills they need to continue the growth and prosperity of our rural communities. Lincoln County 4-H Leaders Council • Idaho The Lincoln County Fair is growing; they needed more room for spectators, parents and grandparents to sit while watching their 4-H and FFA members in the show ring. A grant from Northwest FCS went toward the purchase of movable bleachers to accommodate the changing needs of the fair. Carbon County Archery 4-H Club • Montana Carbon County's 4-H Archery Club is growing. A new outdoor archery facility with a 3D course, field target course and 60-meter range will help its members and other 4-H archers develop the skills needed to compete. With a financial gift from Northwest FCS, their range is closer to reality.
