Festival event Breakthrough Basketball Camp – Essential Youth Skills & Decision Making Breakthrough Basketball Instructor Nate Bowie and Mercer Island Parks & Recreation are excited to provide this 3 day youth and middle school camp that focuses on developing the complete player! You will develop shooting, ball handling, passing, footwork, defense, rebounding, athleticism, and other essential skills to become a great a basketball player. Register at Breakthrough Camp Age: 8 - 15 Days: Tue - Thu Dates: Aug 7 - 9 Time: 9am - 3pm Fee: $156 (Early Bird Price Until Apr 15)* $195 (After Apr 15) Mercer Island Residents take $20 off fee Instructor: Breakthrough Basketball Location: Mercer Island Community & Event Center *Use promo code: MERCER at checkout BEACH & LIFEGUARDING INFORMATION Luther Burbank Beach will be staffed with lifeguards beginning June 23rd. Guarded hours will be between 12pm and 7pm. If you are interested in bringing a group, please contact the Facility Scheduler at miparks@mercergov.org for details and reservation information. Additional information on dates, hours, and water quality may be found at www.miparks.net. Beaches are subject to closure due to inclement weather or low staffing. Due to dock construction, Groveland Beach will not be guarded. Stand Up Paddle Board & Kayak Camp Enjoy fun on the water, learning what's cool to do with SUP's and kayaks. The day will be split between Stand Up Paddleboard and 1-person touring kayaks with expert Kayak Academy instructors. Learn basic paddling and safety skills while playing water games such as sponge tag and going on a treasure hunt. Try all sorts of new things – each day is fun and different!
