T-Ball T-Ball is a coed instructional team sports program emphasizing sportsmanship and fundamentals in a fun-fi lled atmosphere. The emphasis will be on teaching the fundamentals: throwing, catching, hitting, fi elding, team play, and good sportsmanship. Practices and games will on Mondays and Wednesdays. Participants should have their own baseball glove. Fee includes a hat. Rookie League Rookie League is a coed instructional program hitting from a coach-pitched ball in a fun-fi lled atmosphere. Skyhawks Sports Sampler Hey Parents! Register your child for one of our new Sport Sampler programs! This half day event will give your child a solid introduction into multiple sports in one setting. This is a great opportunity for your child to check out a sport for the fi rst time or learn some new skills associated with a sport they are already familiar with. We will showcase up to four diff erent sport specifi c stations for your child to rotate through during the day. The sport sampler could include basketball, soccer, baseball, volleyball, and fl ag football. Camp! Camp! Greyhound Boys Basketball Join Pullman High School Boys' Varsity Coach, Craig Brantner, as he shares with you his knowledge of basketball fundamentals. Skills covered will be dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding, and other basic off ensive and defensive skills. Each participant will receive a camp t-shirt. This program emphasizes skill instruction, teamwork, sportsmanship, and fun! Kids are introduced to the game of T-ball and will learn the basic fundamentals of throwing, hitting from a tee, and fi elding. We will also have games throughout the four weeks. Fee includes a hat and a t-shirt. Participants should have their own glove. Youth Athletic Coaches Youth Athletic Coaches & Officials Needed! & Officials Needed! Volunteers are needed to make the youth sport programs a success! The Parks & Recreation Dept. is now recruiting youth t-ball/coach pitch baseball, fall soccer, fl ag football, and volleyball coaches and assistant coaches. Coaches and offi cials will be certifi ed through NYSCA. If you would like to assist in this year's programs, please call the Recreation offi ce at 509-338-3227 today! Pullman Junior Golf Club Lessons Junior golf lessons will be instructed by Palouse Ridge Golf Club's PGA Golf Professional Jeremy Wexler and PGA apprentice Brian Green. Points of emphasis will include: short game, full swing, rules, etiquette, and fun. The club will meet at the back end (West End) of Palouse Ridge Golf Club's driving range. Practice will be held two days a week on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00-11:00am. Practice balls will be provided and clubs will be available if needed. Boys and girls, ages 7-17, as of July 3, are welcome to join.
