On February 13, Pullman voters supported Propositions 1 and 2 on the Special Election ballot with 66% support on Proposition 1 and 75% on Proposition 2. With voter approval on Proposition 1, a new Recreation/Community Center, Senior Center, and City Hall will be renovated on a piece of property located off Grand and Crestview Streets. With voter approval on Proposition 2, an array of projects are set to take place in the upcoming years that are certain to enhance the Pullman community and your recreational experiences. A few of the projects include upgrades to Reaney Park pool and restrooms; trail/path development; renovation of the Kruegel Park picnic shelter; completion of Mary's and Emerald Point Parks; and upgrades to dugouts, scoreboxes, and fencing at the City Playfi elds. As you can see there will be many new and exciting projects taking place in Pullman in the near future. As staff , we're excited for the projects and look forward to sharing information and your involvement in the process as we continue to improve the quality of life for the citizens of Pullman. As staff plan and prepare for all the exciting projects mentioned above, we encourage you to take a few moments to look through the brochure and discover all that Parks & Recreation has to off er, to keep you and your family active this summer. From youth educational camps, art classes, teen trips, sports camps, adult golf lessons, senior day trips… We've got something for everyone. Reaney Park will once again be the place to be this summer. With the pool season just around the corner, make sure to take advantage of the "Early Bird" season pass sale and buy your individual or family membership to Reaney Park pool before June 1st. See page 29 for details. Concerts in the Park are back on Wednesday nights beginning July 11th with the Community Band of the Palouse kicking off the six week series. See the full concert schedule on the back of this brochure. Also back at Reaney Park this summer will be Movies in the Park beginning on July 6th. Pullman Parks & Recreation is once again teaming up with Resonate Church to provide movies and festivities that you're not going to want to miss on Friday evenings throughout the month of July. As always, thank you for your continued support of Pullman Parks & Recreation. Have a safe summer and we look forward to seeing everyone out in the parks, on a path, or in one of our many programs. We recommend you sign up for programs as far in advance as possible to ensure your spot and to prevent program cancellations. If the program you want is already full, you can select waitlist. If a spot opens up, we will be happy to call you so that you can participate in our program. After a class has already started, please contact our office for late registration information. We start prorating for some classes the third week of class. Register Online: Find the course you want here in the guide, then go online to PullmanParksandRec.com and enter the class name. If you are a new customer to this site, you will need to create a user name and password for the site. Continue to register and pay for the course. Resident Discount/Sales Tax: The City of Pullman recognizes that people living within Pullman's city limits support, through the Metropolitan Park District, the City's Parks & Recreation services. Because of this, the City offers its residents a discount on selected recreational programs. Sales Tax: All fees listed in the Parks & Recreation Brochure have the applicable sales tax included.
