Our program provides opportunities for young children to select, explore, and practice a variety of skills in a secure, creative, and stimulating environment. Teachers plan developmentally appropriate activities that promote social/emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. Our curriculum includes language, art, music, math, science, and movement activities implemented into monthly theme-based units. Children gain self-esteem and independence as they are treated with respect and encouraged individually. Our preschool is open to children 3-5 years of age. Student/teacher ratio is 1:10. The 3-4 year old program (younger 4 year olds) is in the morning from 9:00am-12:00pm, with the option of attending MWF, TuTh, or M-F. The 4-5 year old (older 4 year olds/ pre-K students) is in the afternoon from 1:00-4:00pm, with the option of attending MWF, TuTh, or M-F. Our Preschool program runs from September-June and includes a formal graduation ceremony for those graduating on to Kindergarten. Our preschool follows the Pullman School District schedule for holidays, breaks, and closures due to inclement weather. Registration Information: NEW Student: Registration begins Monday, June 11, at 8:00am for the 2018- 2019 school year. Phone registrations will be accepted after 10:00am and mail-in registrations will not be processed until after June 11th. The ages listed will be strictly adhered to. Children must be fully potty trained by the start of class. Children must be able to separate from parents. You may obtain a Preschool Parent Manual/Brochure from the Pullman Parks & Recreation Department by calling 509-338-3227, or visit our website at PullmanParksandRec.com, preschool. Payments are due on the 15th of each month prior to the start of the session (for example: October payment would be due September 15th). Your spot may be forfeited to the next person on the waiting list if your payment is not made by the 20th of the month. She has a B.S. in Child Development and Family Relations from the University of Idaho. After moving to Pullman, Jean served as director of a childcare center. She was hired by the City of Pullman in 1994 and has been responsible for our program's content and growth.
