SEPTEMBER 2020 18 SEPTEMBER 2020 C O N C O U R S C O R N E R Dennis Rood I hope that you are all safe, well, and have been able to get out on some to enjoy our summer weather. I recently took a morning drive with five friends (non PNWR event) and had one rest stop—all wearing masks with 6-ft distancing, etc. I also hope you have been able to take part in one of several driving events the club has sanctioned, which are happening this summer. I don't know when we will get to the end of this, but I know it will eventually end. This is the 3rd installment by Darryl Deppe's restoration story about a pretty sad 356 coupe that he did most of the work on himself. Since Darryl is retired and has a big shop, he had plenty of time to devote to this project. Even though many of you do not have the same luxury of time or resources, there are many things we can learn from these articles. So, with that, thank you again Darryl. This one really shows the body and interior in beautifully painted final coats and it's really starting to look like a 356 again. You will be surprised at the process and final price of his final body preparation and paint job.
