NOVEMBER 2020 WWW.PNWR.ORG 11 2020 HELMET STANDARDS FOR DRIVER EDUCATION Helmets must be certified in accordance with one of the following standards: Snell SA2010, SAH2010, M2010, K2010, Snell SA2015, SAH2015, M2015, K2015, FIA8860-2004 or 2010, SFI 31.1, or BS6658-85 type A/FR. Helmets certified to specifications other than Snell must be within 10 years of the date of manufacture. The helmet shell must have no structural damage and the padding must be intact. The chin strap must not be frayed; the strap attachments must be operable and securely attached. Face shields, when required and/ or used, must be made of polycarbonate plastic or the equivalent and must be in good condition. It is recommended that helmets be replaced or relined after 5 years of actual use. 2020 HELMET STANDARDS FOR AUTOCROSS AND DRIVER SKILLS Each contestant must wear an approved helmet in good condition. The helmet shell must have no structural damage and the padding must be intact. The chin strap must not be frayed; the strap attachments must be operable and securely attached. Face shields, when required and/or used, must be made of polycarbonate plastic or the equivalent and must be in good condition. Acceptable approvals are the latest or next two most recent SA, SAH, M, or K Snell Memorial Foundation, FIA 8860, SFI 31.1 or BS6658-85 Type A-FR approvals. Helmets certified to specifications other than Snell must be within 10 years of the date of manufacture. Any Helmet acceptable for PCA Club Racing is also permitted. We have one of the best DE programs and the best instructor team of any club in the country. Our goal is simple: have a blast at a racetrack in a safe and fun environment. Register at www.MotorSportReg.com Participants must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid drivers license. 2020 SCHEDULE Participant fee is $310 at Pacific Raceways and Ridge Motorsports Park. Oregon Raceway Park is $350 for one day, and $550 for the weekend. Lunch is included at all our events. Helmets can be rented for $30 per day. Registration opens at 8 AM on the dates, above.
