Thank you, Nominating Committee Candidate for PNWR President 2021: Doug Andreassen Dear friends, when your board of officers accepted their positions for 2020, no one expected a pandemic. We have made decisions that have not been pleasant, but necessary. I have had the good fortune to serve with dedicated, committed individuals who have demonstrated their leadership and made these tough decisions. They have worked together to introduce new formats for club activities considering our social distancing and mask requirements. I applaud their efforts. I have served as President these last few years and worked diligently to improve upon the foundation of those before me. In 2019 we held the celebrations for the 60th Anniversary of PNWR. We concluded our celebratory efforts with a banquet that was second to none. We were hoping that 2020 would bring us continued growth and prosperity. We have received the recent membership numbers from PCA. These numbers are demonstrating that not only are members returning to PCA, the number of new members is also showing a promising upward trend. While PNWR is not at its pre-Covid membership numbers, we are starting to mirror the PCA trendlines. That tells us we have work to do in 2021. We have several initiatives that we would like to complete in the coming year to provide benefits for you. Our efforts in the club's overall areas are paying off for your enjoyment of not only your vehicle, but also for the camaraderie we share with the brand we all love. Our leadership team continues to initiate improvements in what we offer as a club, a region, and a national car organization dedicated to Porsche. I am asking for your support to serve as President for 2021. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and dedication to helping make PNWR a club for all of us. Respectfully submitted, Doug Andreassen Candidate for Vice President 2021: Virginie Grange I would like your support for election to the position of Vice President. I really enjoyed serving for the past four years in the position of Secretary and then Vice President. I also took on the position of Social Media Chair this past year. As with many organizations, Covid-19 has impacted our ability to carry out the 100+ events our volunteers put together every year. We have been able to bring back our drivers' events, but unfortunately it has been more challenging to get our tour and social events organized in a safe way. I kicked off the eSeries initiative to bring online events, some live and some by sharing videos. We will continue sponsoring more events of that nature and have online events become a permanent track in our event program. In addition to our eSeries, we are in need in bringing more volunteers to our club that is still growing so we can bring activities that cater to our wider membership. I am looking forward to continuing to meet more members along the way and share the fun, as well and listen to your ideas and feedback to keep our club engaging for everyone as it is for our many volunteers! Candidate for Treasurer 2021: Mary Downing I have been a PNWR/PCA member for 42 years, serving as PNWR Treasurer since 2009. It would be my pleasure to run again for the position. This year was unusual as the club board and staff dealt with the restrictions and guidelines due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We maneuvered through some tough decisions, continued to provide members some Porsche fun, and controlled costs throughout 2020. It appears this type of restricted activity may be required going into 2021. I am ready for the challenge to help the Club move forward during this time, as well as improve future activities, especially the social events. Prior to a life of leisure, I was employed for 38 years with a worldwide multi-market manufacturing company working in various positions managing procurement, manufacturing, engineering, plant operations, contracts, and customer service. My responsibilities included customer relations; team building; program management; production and administrative efficiency; budgeting; cost control; and profitability. Thanks so much for your support this year and for your 2021 vote. Please stay well, enjoy your Porsche and be safe. Candidate for Director-At-Large 1: Martin Wild Greetings fellow PNWR Porsche enthusiasts. My name is Martin Wild and I have been a PNWR Board member with the club for the last two years, serving as a Director at Large. I'm also a PNWR Driver Education instructor, so you will often catch me out at the track on Driver Education days or at a Driver Skills event with my 987 Cayman S. I'm a certifiable car nut, Porsche enthusiast, and active participant in the PNW car community. I've enjoyed working with my fellow board members and chair- persons during my current tenure. We are fortunate to have a fantastic team of volunteers who have all made a commitment to move the club forward by creating new and innovative ways for members like you to interact with the club. Additionally, we are actively working to broaden our reach and be more inclusive of all Porsche owners, from classics to track cars to SUVs and EVs. I embrace the commitment to attract a wide demographic, including our younger generation and families by supporting new events and innovative activities that cater to different tastes and socialization styles. We have a fantastic club and a stellar group of volunteers that make it all happen so you can enjoy all that the Porsche lifestyle has to offer. I hope you will consider me for re-election as the Director at Large (position 1) for another two years so I can continue to assist the club in realizing our goals. ´
