We will be making an E-Car. The power train has become more expensive. E-train cost about $30,000 battery motor controller and the motor itself. We used to pay about $3,000 for power train, engine & misc. items. They will be competing with EV cars. Board Reports: President – Doug Andreassen – Present – No Report Concern from zone representative about social media post regarding events for tours. We need to be attentive and be sure we are following our state guidelines. Nominations needed for PNWR board. We will be looking for board secretary, new members and ad chairs. We will be unveiling the new design of the Spiel this October. We have our planning meeting set for November the 14th at 9am. Pacific Raceways will be having a hearing on their permit because of people who live near pushing back on the noise. Vice President – Virginie Grange – Present – No Report Secretary – Ginger McMillan – Present – Report Submitted Planning meeting is Saturday, November 14th at 9am. Please send your dates in the group email that I sent out to everyone when you have them. Treasurer – Mary Downing – Present – Report Submitted Receipts for September $32,157, expenses posted $22,140 with outstanding checks of $6,739. Balances for checking $137,542 and savings $97,406. Receipts for DE event on October 3rd in Portland were posted in September to be offset by expenses that will not be processed until October PNWR remains in excellent financial position. Past-President – Ed Jenkins – Present – No Report A few resumes to collect and have talked to a few board members about open board position. Director at Large One – Martin Wild – Present – Report Submitted Submitted photo and words for Panorama about our drive for Bill Anderson. Director at Large Two – Sydney Tanner – Present – Report Submitted Discussion on new members engagement. Working with national promoting new members. Committee Chair Reports: Advertising – Ellen Thayer – Present – Report Submitted Total Amount Billed: $3,973.00 Total Deposits September: $9,348.50 Total Active Advertisers: 34 Total Billed Advertisers: 12 New Advertisers: 0 Dropouts: 0 6/12 Month Prepaid Renewals: 2 – 425 Motorsports, George Butterfield Autocross – Paul Hagger – Not Present – Report Submitted September 19th PNWR PCA hosted event #8 of our 2020 season. There were 64 participants, 46 of whom were PCA members (compared to 64 participants, 55 members for our September event in 2019). Entry fees totaled $2114.15 (compared to $2,310 in 2019). Our last event is October 17th at Bremerton Motorsports. Caveat Emptor – Dennis Coplen – Present – Report Submitted 28 ads were submitted for the November Spiel. Charity – Eric Breidenbach – Present – Report Submitted The scholarship interviews for Lake Washington Tech students completed. Interviewed 8 candidates.
