T his year your Remodelers Council (RC) Executive Committee set out to: 1. Develop a strong, cohesive membership council with active participation and engagement from our builder and associate members. 2. Add Safety and Workforce Development Committees to our Council. 3. Deliver high-quality educational programming. Based on the feedback I've received, we are hitting these targets and meeting the goals I set out as council chair to "elevate our industry" through collaboration, education, and inclusion. Our membership numbers are holding steady at around 140, and we have seen attendance increase at each of our events, as we continue to deliver professional growth and development opportunities, business networking, and Remodeling Excellence Support our members participating in the 2022 Remodeled Homes Tour. Fall is the perfect time to reflect on this year's accomplishments and use these successes to help us plan and prepare for the new year and new leadership ahead. 2022 Wins Our dedicated Coffee & Chat group continues to share best business practices quarterly. Great conversations around company values were had at Tenhulzen Residential's headquarters in Woodinville and VanderBeken Remodel's in Marysville. We celebrated with our remodeling all-stars at the REX/T-REX Awards in May. Hollywood dresses, cocktails, and mind-blowing remodels showcased at the Westin Bellevue. This event, co-hosted by REX Committee Chairs Luellen Smith and Jennifer VanderBeken, had everyone in attendance feeling prouder than ever of their work. We are coming back from the pandemic, Hollywood style—watch out! The education this year just keeps on getting better every RC Dinner! With top-notch member speakers, panel discussions, and local area building and design experts, our education is geared towards helping our members to succeed not just as builders, but as entrepreneurs and business owners.
