6 Spiel – December 2022 Doug appreciates the commitment that Porsche makes to their motorsport success and how that technology transfers to the vehicles we all love. Outside of that passion, he enjoys soccer, hiking, and spending time outdoors in the company of others. It has undoubtedly been my friendships with all of you that have made my time enjoyable beyond my wildest expectations. FROM THE PRESIDENT DOUG ANDREASSEN President • (206) 300-3701 president@pnwr.org Follow us on Instagram @pca_pnwr. 2023, We Turn the Page A s our calendar ends for 2022, we eagerly look forward to what 2023 will bring us. PNWR will also have some changes. One of those will be a new president: Kevin Nouwens. I have had the opportunity to serve you these last number of years. We hear it repeatedly: we come for the cars and stay for the people. We all share a common love for our vehicles; however, in my tenure, it has undoubtedly been my friendships with all of you that have made my time enjoyable beyond my wildest expectations. Thank you to each of you for helping us guide PNWR through some unexpected difficulties. We have come through more robust than ever. Another change will be to the Spiel newsletter. We have produced 12 issues per year for some time now. The Spiel team is comprised of a dedicated group of volunteers. We have discussed transitioning the publication's frequency to run every other month, or six times a year. This will change the newsletter's content regarding the articles and the event announcements. We will move the event notices to our website, which provides you with up-to-date, relevant information. We will produce more in- depth content that will reflect our ever changing regional needs. This move will also save PNWR some of the costs of producing the publication. We have seen increased prices in all aspects of newsletter production. We carefully watch expenses, so we can continue to hear our treasurer say, "PNWR remains in an excellent financial position." Celebration Dinner I will close this message with a reminder to join us at our celebration dinner on the 21st of January at the Tulalip Resort Casino in Marysville, Washington. Billy and Julie Shott have been planning an event to remember. I encourage you to follow the link to our webpage and sign up today. I look forward to seeing you there. Thank you again for your confidence in supporting PNWR.
