We at PNWR often say the Club is "about the people" and
these folks in Australia are just as cordial and friendly as we find
them in the Pacific Northwest.
Conversations with the folks there was easy, as we do both
speak a form of the English language. We hope they did not mind
our accents? They made us feel very welcome and encouraged us
to participate in the day's Ride Along. With lots of folks doing
rides, they made a special effort to connect us with two other past
Club Presidents for our rides. These two fellows are close mates
and their competitive spirit lead them to both have the same black
2004 Porsche GT3s. Wife Deirdre rode in one car and I rode in
the other. They arrange these events for safety and fun, so drivers
are told to take people around the course for four hot laps driving
at about 80% of their skill set. Both of us were really thrilled with
the rides (@ 80 ++%) and can easily say that they're both very
skilled at fast track driving.
