stuff dues. We have received and processed 607 receipts. 1403 copies of the Spiel were mailed in February. An additional 400 bills for 2011 dues were mailed, and 40 bills were reprinted and remailed as they were missing return envelopes Driver Education - Tom Pritchett Present - Report Submitted Talked to Pacific Raceway today, and they asked if we would postpone our clean up of the track until March 12th. At that time, they will have the funds for the cleaning supplies. This is also the day of the interchange clean up. PRI will have a caterer available that will feed the entire group. PRI is ready for instructor training. Chief Driving Instructor - Bill Bauer Present - Report Submitted We have the Drivers Instructor School scheduled this month. Registration is going fine. We are working with Karl Seeger from BMW Club as this is their year to host the training. The BMW Club will rent a tent and provide heaters. The new Chief Driving Instructor for PNWR, Velle Kolde, was introduced to the members. The Board made a motion, seconded and approved his appointment as the new CDI. (See New Business) Driver Skills – Robert Durff Present - Report Submitted Our second event will be held on Saturday, February 12th. There are two spots available as of now. We are good to go on instructors and volunteers. James Nord will be leading the first couple of events using our new leadership team concept. A new billing arrangement has been worked out. There will be no pork barbeque sandwiches, but lasagna is on the menu. Looking forward to a good event. Spiel Editor - Barb Coplen Present - Report Submitted The Spiel is out. Barrier has a new ad on back showing their activity calendar. Would the new officers and committee chairs please provide the information needed for the Spiel. Goodie Store - Ted and Kathy Vander Hoek Present - Report Submitted There is an additional logo on the Goodie Store web page. We shipped two of our car badges to Germany. Brian Redman Tech Session DVDs are available at the Goodie Store. Membership - Pete Olson Present - Report Submitted There were only 10 new members in January as opposed to 15 last year. So far, green is the car color of choice for new members in 2011. Safety - Steve Downing Present - Report Submitted King County has started enforcing the terms of the conditional use permit with Pacific Raceway. As stated in the permit, PRI will shut down totally on Monday & Tuesday and one day per weekend per month from May until Sept or be fined. There will be no one on the track during these times and PRI has to publish the information by May. Social - Larry & Sherrel Nelson Present - Report Submitted There were 67 total attendees at our Annual Award Banquet of which 63 were paid. Join us for a casual lunch and schmooze at the Issaquah XXX Root Beer Drive-In. We have the banquet room reserved so bad weather will not be an issue. There's plenty of parking. No RSVP needed, just show up, order off the menu and pay your own check. NOTE - Drive-in accepts cash only. March 6th is new members day at Café Veloce. Special Events - Duncan Newell Present - Report Submitted The Rolex 24 was a good race, and there was a good turnout at Griots Garage for the tech session and to watch the beginning of the race.
