Besides learning how to keep our prized possessions clean and shiny we celebrated Dennis Coplen's birthday with a rousing version of Happy Birthday. The Seattle Men's choir has nothing to worry about! Many thanks to Richard Griot, Mark Greene, Jason Matthews and the whole crew of Griot's for hosting us to such a fun day. And those 25 pizzas we consumed weren't bad either, and the birthday cake Barb brought to help the celebration was a fitting end to a great day. I know Jim Bell writes about the "Good Old Days" each month but I had a personal reminder the other day. I opened up my email to see a message from my old friend Jean-Henri Bernard in Paris. Attached were two pictures, one of Sheryl & I enjoying some wine while at a Porsche Club de France event at Dijon France in 1981 and one of me hanging out with Ferry Porsche! Well maybe Ferry and I weren't hanging out, I might have just happened to be standing next to him when Jean-Henri took the picture. But how many of us have a picture, that hasn't been photo shopped, of them and Ferry Porsche? He and his wife Dorthea were the guests of honor at this 25th anniversary 14 March 2011 event for the French Porsche Club. We did actually talk to both of them and I managed to get their autographs on the official program for the event, which I still have today. Thinking back it was really a fun event.
