Thor Thorson welcomed us to the VRM event and is an
interesting guy. He is one of the owners of Vintage Racing Motors.
To hear Thor say it, he is just an amateur in the car business and
really depends on others who actually know something about cars
to make the business function. After all, he said his background
was in anthropology.
In reality Thor has been involved in cars and racing since the
early '60s. He has owned, restored, raced, and sold so many cars
he has lost track of them. He started vintage racing in the early
'80s in a Lotus 7. In 1989 he and several partners created VRM.
The company now operates in the international arena by sourcing,
building, and supporting vintage racing at the highest level. We
are very lucky to have such fascinating people, these kinds of
facilities, cars, car owners, and events in the Northwest.
