A couple of Canadian Jensen owners met up with many
Porsche Owners for the privilege of touring Vintage Racing
Motors in Redmond, Washington. We saw a wide variety of
classic vintage racing cars that VRM support in vintage racing
events throughout the United States and Europe.
As we entered the facility the first car we came upon was a
Porsche 917 short-tail in Gulf colors with a lot of racing history.
From there we saw Ferraris, BMWs, an Aston Martin, a Duesenberg
Indy car, Elvas, an Osca, Alfa Romeo, Benetton F-1 car, and a
Formula Atlantic race car. The collection of vehicles was a
gearhead's greatest fantasy. The stories told by VRM's owner and
mechanics kept everyone entertained and wanting more.
This was my first opportunity to attend a Pacific Northwest
Porsche Club event. It was extremely enjoyable. I look forward
to traveling a couple of hours south from our British Columbia
home to get to know more PNWR members and to visit venues
that we just do not have in Vancouver BC.
I want to thank the VRM Staff for all their hospitality and
the PNWR for allowing us to tag along.
