O n April 12, we partnered with the Aff ordable Housing Council and Seattle King County REALTORS to provide our Campaign School to 20 candidates preparing to run for public offi ce. The fi rst of our bipartisan slate of speakers, Enterprise Washington President and CEO Michael Davis started us off by teaching the class how to write their campaign plans. Building on that, John Wyble, principal with WinPower Strategies, gave advice on fundraising. Kelly Evans, partner with Sound View Strategies, fi nished our morning working with participants on developing—and learning how to stay on—their message. Over lunch, MBA Executive Director Shannon A olter and MBA President Mike Walsh welcomed participants and explained why area homebuilders are interested in helping local candidates run for offi ce. Davis, led the class in a public speaking activity before we ended the day with a Q&A on all things campaign.
