definite downer on a Porsche tour! We also
learned that it's not wise for a non-tour
driver to try to keep up with the pack. A
Subaru that took on Group B on the way
over was rewarded for his actions by a local
"gendarme".
Sunday evening after dinner, Casey
McClellan, founder, owner and winemaker
of Seven Hills Winery, treated us to a brief
overview of the growth of the wine industry
in Walla Walla. From eight wineries in 1990,
the area now boasts more than 130 wineries.
For my husband
Tom and I, this was
our second PNWR
Porsche road
adventure, the first
being the Porsche
Escape 2010 in
Canada. We were
impressed by the
stellar organization
of the event, and
the friendliness of
all the participants. Mark your calendars for
the 2nd Annual Walla Walla Wine Tour on
Mother's Day weekend next year, beginning
Friday, with a Sunday morning departure.
Based on our experience this year, it's an
event not to be missed!
