Director at Large – Jay Gillotti: Present - Report Submitted Jay is planning an article for the Spiel highlighting Rennsport IV that is taking place at Laguna Seca, on October 14/16, 2011. David Bell Publishing has offered the services of Janos Wimpffen to speak at one of our events. Janos has written three (3) volumes on sports car racing for David Bell. Director at Large - Larry Nelson: Present –Report Submitted Thanks to Diane for putting together the Greenwood car show information. Past President – Eric Breidenbach: Bill Bauer called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm. A quorum of the Board was present. Present – Report Submitted There will be a special viewing of the new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Car, at Roger Jobs Porsche, Saturday April 9th, provided by Bellet Racing of Vancouver British Columbia. This is a rare opportunity to see a very special Porsche in its pure form. The vehicle will be on display from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Bring your camera. Eric will let Bill Rogers know what time the club has been invited to have a special showing. Bill enjoyed the drive to Friday Harbor for the San Juan Garage Tour, the dinner was excellent. He & Tom Pritchett are going to the meeting in Shelton on April 6, for the Ridge Motorsports Park Special Use Permit requirement. Two people should be adequate, but let Bill know if you want to go. 44 May 2011 Committee Chair Reports Advertising - Emmett Koontz: Present - Report Submitted The Club has received $5075 in invoices. Omni Brake and Alignment has renewed for 6 months; and Adam Long's Details Unlimited has renewed for 12 months. Abodian Storage Solu- Present - Report Submitted Had the 1st official event on March 19th, there were 71 drivers. The increase in fees will help cover our increase in expenses this year. Caveat Emptor - Dennis Coplen: Not Present – No Report Submitted Concours - Dennis Rood: Present - Report Submitted The event on Saturday in the San Juans was a success, there were 51 people, and the weekend was sunny and nice. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. This is a good preview to August 27th for the San Juan Concours Field Meet. We will start some planning on this. The next event is the Concours Judges Clinic on April 16th. The clinic will be held at the Risinger Residence in Woodinville. Space is limited to 35. Spend an evening with Steve Terrien and the 1958 550A Spyder #0141 on May 19th. He will show you the fabulous car whose 27-year story you've been reading in the Spiel. You'll be able to ask questions and see it up close. Space is VERY limited so RSVP by May 16 to Dennis Rood, Concours Chairman, at Concours@pnwr.org. Database Coordinator - Leeds Gulick: Present- Report Submitted 1519 Spiels were sent out of which 1347 were dues paying members. We were down 172 because this is time of year for dropping members who have not paid their dues. The increase in dues resulted in $8700 additional dollars. Driver Education - Tom Pritchett: Present - Report Submitted Sixty-seven (67) students have signed up for the April 21st event. May 19th is already open and seven (7) students are registered. Chief Driving Instructor – Velle Kolde Present - Report Submitted Velle has gotten historical instructor data up to date through 2010. He also solicited badge orders from the instructors and has received the badges. He will distribute the badges at the appropriate events.
