F ormer Washington Governor Christine Gregoire says more action is needed to provide housing for middle income families in the Puget Sound region That's the message she brought to the MBAKS Housing Solutions Breakfast on October 17, on behalf of Challenge Seattle, an alliance of CEOs from 17 of the region's largest employers The breakfast is MBAKS' signature housing policy event of the year, drawing nearly two hundred builders, real estate agents, bankers, housing advocates, elected officials, planners, and others As MBAKS Executive Director Kat Sims explained, "The goal of this event is to elevate the conversation around our shared housing challenges—and the collective action we can take to address them Our housing shortage is a regional problem requiring a range of solutions— Help spread the word about the need for more housing choices.
