SUMMER CAMPS
Sewing 100
Perfect for first time students, students will learn
about the basics of sewing and machine terminology,
tools for sewing, as well as hand and machine sewing.
Students will work on projects that build skills in
using and controlling the sewing machine. Stitches
will include a straight seam, back stitch and zigzag.
Participants need to supply their own sewing machine in
good working order, power cord, foot pedal, instruction
manual, bobbins, fabric scissors and sewing tools.

Sewing 200
Pre-requisite, must have completed sewing 100.
Participants will learn to read a pattern and
understand sewing symbols and terminology; how
to pin, mark and cut a pattern layout; seam finishes
and hemming. The project will be a pants pattern with
an elastic casing for the waistband. Participants need to
supply their own sewing machine in good working order,
power cord, foot pedal, instruction manual, bobbins,
fabric scissors and sewing tools.

Sewing 300
Pre-requisite Sewing 100 & 200. In Sewing 300,
participants will continue building on their skills
making a fleece top with sleeves, pockets and either a
hood or a collar. This class encourages students
to work on their projects independently with
mentors available for advice. Participants need
to supply their own sewing machine in good
working order, power cord, foot pedal, instruction
manual, bobbins, fabric scissors and sewing tools.

Sewing 310 - 18" Doll Clothes
Pre-requisite Sewing 100 & 200. This camp will
introduce participants to the essentials of making one-
of-a-kind garments for an 18" doll such as American
Girl, Our Generation or similar sized. Students will
learn simple sewing techniques for constructing
miniature garments, to include small seam allowances
and topstitching. Kits for some projects will be
provided. Participants will need to supply their own
sewing machine in good working order, power cord,
foot pedal, instruction manual, bobbins, fabric scissors
and sewing tools.

Camp Stitch-a-Lot Sewing and Crochet Camps
Camp Stitch-a-Lot offers camps in sewing and crochet.
Participants will create simple, fun projects throughout the
week that will pique interest, enthusiasm and skills in sewing
and crochet. Bring a snack and drink. Campers may only register
for one sewing/crochet camp per week.
A supply list will be sent prior to class. Students supply their
own fabric for projects which should cost approximately $20.
