In my fi nal message as executive director, I want to express what a privilege it has been to represent the Master Builders Association the past four years. I want to thank the Board of Directors and Executive Committee members I have had the pleasure of working with during my service. Each provided reasoned judgment and were steadfast in their commitment and dedication to this association. My sincere thanks for the support and level of confi dence each has personally provided me. Working with many of you, we can be proud of what we accomplished together. We have continued to elevate our infl uence in the region; managed a successful advocacy program which positively impacts our developers and builders; and have and will continue to see membership increase because of the excellent member services and plans we provide, including our respected GRIP and Health Trust programs. We have an excellent staff in place under the leadership of an eff ective and experienced group of directors. This association will achieve many more successes through the collective eff orts of our committed and hardworking staff , coupled with the expertise and infl uence our members have throughout the region in furthering our initiatives. It's an exciting time in the Puget Sound Region. Thank you, the more than 2,800 MBA members— builders, developers, remodelers, trades professionals, and associates—for your participation in the positive results and growth our industry and region continue to experience. The surge of commerce in our cities and your achievement and progress toward addressing housing demand has been remarkable. We need to keep our eye on the ball to ensure we can meet the aff ordable housing demands of an ever-increasing population. Families need safe and desirable neighborhoods to call home. We need to continue inching closer to our goal of ensuring everyone has a place they can call their own. It's hard to express my feelings in entirety of what it means to have been a part of the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties, but know the memories created and shared with you all will forever be a part of me. Thank you. Yours truly, BY SHANNON AFFHOLTER EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR MASTER BUILDERS ASSOCIATION MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Thank You 5 WINTER 2017 master builder '' """•– '——˜"
