THE FUTURE of Built Green ® Is Coming (and It Includes Cinemagraphs) C hanges are afoot at Built Green. These changes will not only reinforce the program's image as a key player in the forward- thinking, cutting-edge green building movement, they will also make it easier for people to be a part of this movement and better understand it. What's changing? Drumroll, please… We are excited to announce the new Built Green website, coming soon to a desktop, labtop, tablet, and smartphone near you! The new builtgreen.net will consist of two main components. The fi rst is the most obvious: the site is being completely redesigned with a fresh look and new navigation. These two components combined will make it much easier to fi nd the information you're looking for. Additionally, we are shifting the visual focus to predominantly feature many beautiful homes that have been certifi ed Built Green in recent years, many of them past case studies. Emphasizing these homes on the site provides a tangible understanding of what Built Green supports while broadcasting the fantastic work of our members. The second new component of the website lies in its functionality. For the fi rst time, people will be able to submit Built Green membership applications online. On top of that, they will be able to submit project enrollments and check the certifi cation status of their projects. Built Green's third-party verifi ers will also be able to submit certifi cation packets through the site. Moving these processes online will save time and energy and will allow program participants to keep tabs on their projects without having to pick up the phone or send an email—though, of course, that is still welcome!
