2nd Vice President BONNIE GEERS, QUADRANT HOMES For years, Geers has been an integral cog in the mighty MBAKS advocacy machine, having served as chair of the Affordable Housing Council (AHC) before taking on a board role as advocacy director. Under her direction, MBAKS has secured many significant victories in the Washington State Legislature. Her continued participation in endeavors such as the Governor's Housing Affordability Response Team (HART) helps to ensure the voice of the residential homebuilding industry will continue to be heard loud and clear. 1st Vice President SUNSHINE K APUS, GAMUT360 HOLDINGS LLC As Director of Operations at Gamut360, Kapus effectively manages the front lines of Northwest building, while seamlessly navigating legislative and jurisdictional hurdles that would otherwise prevent her company and others from providing homes for our demanding and expanding communities. Her ardent eye on the environment and pledge toward affordable, quality housing ensures the residential homebuilding industry will have a smart, sound voice going forward—a voice that echoes what residents want, as well as what our unique region needs. Immediate Past President MIKE WALSH, TERRENE HOMES A year ago, he stated, "It is incumbent upon us to provide new families moving into our region with the opportunity to purchase an affordable home, so that they too, can raise their children and someday look back with the same fond memories I have of our region." After a year of Walsh's leadership, our association, industry, and region look to be headed steadfastly in that direction. Secretary JAYSON BUECHLER, HOUSING CAPITAL COMPANY (A DIVISION OF U.S. BANK) Buechler's regional roots are robust, having been born, raised, and educated in the Puget Sound area. His hometown schooling naturally led to his eventual rise as vice president and team leader of Housing Capital, a division of U.S. Bank. Primarily focused on lending to Northwest homebuilders, Buechler carries a hefty arsenal of skills, including new loan originations, portfolio risk management, managing problem loans, loan workouts, and the management and disposition of Bank OREO (other real estate owned) assets. 16 master builder master builder SPRING 2018
