Board Reports President ��� Bill Bauer: Present - Report Submitted Bill attended the PCA Zone 6 Presidents��� Meeting in Boise, Idaho the weekend of February 26th. Below is information he shared with those who were present at the board meeting. PCA is the largest single marque club in the world with 139 regions. A National Survey 44 April 2011 indicated the vast majority of members have participated in PCA for under 5 years. ���Being too busy��� is the reason 65% gave as to why they didn���t participate in club events. Tech Information was identified as being most important to members. PCA is completely independent of Porsche Dealers. A National Team selects the Parade sites. PCA���s primary support is from dues. Zone 6 is comprised of 15 regions; and is the largest geographical region; PNWR is the biggest club in Zone 6. Discussions centered on how to attract more members; how do clubs with few members and large geographies put events together; how to provide events for current members that are more inclusive for those not interested in track events or tours. Vice-President ��� Ward Carter: Present -- Report Submitted. Insurance for AutoX is in place for the year, as well as Drivers Skills and the Port Townsend Tour. Insurance is needed for the San Juan event, and Ward is submitting a request for insurance for Drivers Ed for the year. Secretary - Dolores Ranhofer: Present - No Report Treasurer - Mary Downing: Present - Report Submitted February showed receipts of $29,858, expenses of $23,618, totaling income of $6240. Year to date receipts total $37,489. Expenses total $36,543, resulting in year to date income of $946. We show $122,880 in available cash as of 2/28/2011 with $26,526 in checking and $96,354 in short-term CDs. Summation: Club continues to operate in good financial standing. Director at Large ��� Jay Gillotti: Present - Report Submitted David Bull is advertising in the Spiel. Director at Large - Larry Nelson: Present ���Report Submitted While at the Issaquah XXX Drive-In, Larry was approached by officials of the Greenwood Car Show. This is a large car show that is sponsored by SeaFair and takes place in the Greenlake area. The cost is $25 per vehicle, and if we participate, the Mini Club would like to be situated next to us. Larry is our contact. John Walker is one of the Chairmen. Past President ��� Eric Breidenbach: Present ��� Report Submitted Notices on two tours: Canada West Weekend will be held at Spirit Ridge Resort in Osoyoos B.C on August 25th ��� 28th, 2011. The Porsche weekend will offer driving tours, a show & shine, golf, tech sessions, wine tours and banquets at the fabulous Spirit Ridge Vineyard Resort. Porsche Club members are privileged to special room rates for this event. Details are being finalized and will be available in the near future with registration set for early April. Club Auto has invited us to join them as they take 12 couples on a 3-day ���Wine and Wheels Tour��� through Oregon���s Willamette Valley wine country. They will depart Friday morning, June 24 from the ACM construction site and motor on back roads to Newberg, Oregon for a stay at the Allison Inn. Cost for the tour is $1,100 per couple for Club Auto level members, $1,200 for Drivers Club level Museum members and $1,300 for non-members. Singles are welcome at $950. Committee Chair Reports Advertising - Emmett Koontz: Present - Report Submitted Emmett has billed 39 sponsors. Some long time advertisers cannot continue. He is contacting other businesses hoping to find replacement sponsors. Autocross - Tim Kornacki: Present - Report Submitted There were 51 participants at the AutoX practice, and the awards party was a success as usual. Thanks to Gary Elwood for organizing the party. Our first official event is on March 19th. The BMW club and the Mercedes SLK club may join us as they have expressed an interest in organizing an AutoX event for their clubs. Concours - Dennis Rood: Not Present - Report Submitted The San Juan Island event scheduled for April 2nd is a garage tour. There will be a dinner.
