The cars were great, but the people were better. It was truly a splendid event. There was a great deal of interaction among the people and an interest in the cars. Both Eric Breidenbach and Dennis are on the board of the event. The Roadside Cleanup is on September 24th and so far only 5 people have signed up. We need to clean the whole interchange. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Safety vests and helmets are also provided courtesy of WASHDOT. Please wear sturdy clothing, strong boots and work gloves. Come for an hour or two or spend the day. Vice-President ��� Ward Carter: Present -- Report Submitted. The insurance should be good for all of the events for the year. Contact Mary Downing if any insurance is needed within the next 3 weeks, as Ward will not be available. Secretary - Dolores Ranhofer: Present - No Report Treasurer - Mary Downing: Present - Report Submitted August showed receipts of $37,097, expenses of $18,019, totaling income of $19,078. Year to date receipts total $208,174. Expenses total $146,276, resulting in year to date income of $61,898. We show $180,287 in available cash as of 8/31/2011 with $83,791 in checking and $96,496 in short-term CDs. Total Year to Date Donations $13,500. We are about $27,000 higher in income. Will provide further detail at next month���s meeting via the 3rd quarter report. Summation: The club continues to operate in good financial standing. Present ��� No Report Submitted Present ��� Report Submitted Porsche was the best-represented group at the Kirkland Tour d���Elegance. There was great feedback from Jeff Clark, Concours Chairman. Committee Chair Reports: Advertising - Emmett Koontz: Present - Report Submitted Emmett billed out $4574 for this month. 425 Motorsports and Motoring Unlimited have renewed their ads. There is a one-time color page from a new advertiser, and two or three people who still owe money. Autocross - Tim Kornacki: Present - Report Submitted Tim introduced Alex Rosser and the plan is for Alex to take over the AutoX chair position. There was an event on the 3rd of September. Alex chaired. There were 56 entrants. VRI could not make it. Everything went smoothly. Two issues were, timing - there was no computer on site, and 20 entrants who had registered and didn���t show. The next event is Oct 15th and the BMW club is invited. We anticipate VRI will be there. Caveat Emptor - Dennis Coplen: Not Present - No Report Submitted Concours - Dennis Rood: Present - Report Submitted It takes about 90 hours a year to set up Concours. It really is a team effort. Couldn���t do it without the team. It is the biggest gathering of our club for an event. Dennis led the 1st Tour d���Jour and many Porsches attended the event. There were approximately 98/99 cars. Database Coordinator - Leeds Gulick: Present- Report Submitted The data base reflects 1652 members with 1269 currently paid. There were 1391 members for the last mailing. Leeds received 5 checks totaling $1128. While at Parade he picked up the trophy for the Spiel. We were 2nd place for large regions. Congratulations to Barb and her volunteers. Driver Education - Tom Pritchett: Not Present - Report Submitted There was an event on September 3rd with 85 attendees. There was one incident as a result of mechanical failure, and three other mechanical failures. The event was fine as usual. Chief Driving Instructor ��� Velle Kolde Present - Report Submitted There was an event on Labor Day Weekend.
