From the President Bill Bauer I hope to hear from you at president@ pnwr.org or call me at 206.972.5639. About anything! Rejoice! Ridge Motorsports Park paving is completed! No doubt many of you have seen the first videos of cars on this track. My, my, my it looks like great fun. Congrats to Rod Powell and his team on almost 4 years of effort to bring RMSP into being. Well have a club tour as soon as possible and expect to book several driving events there in 2012. Theres news on Pacific Raceways as well. PRIs petition for their much-discussed expansion will have a public hearing before the King County Council on December 5. Id describe their document as more of a plan to achieve approval to proceed with the expansion. The good news is that if the Council approves the plan then PRI will have a clear blueprint on what they need to do to get expansion approval. The not-so-exciting news is that it may take 2-3 years to execute the plan. Nonetheless we the people like development and we like to preserve the environment in semi-rural King County, so it takes worthwhile time to get this balance right. Several club members will attend in support, and Ill report next month. Help us run the club well!
