O n May 4, the luminaries of the Pacific Northwest's remodeling and trades industries converged to shine a bright spotlight on their achievements at the MBAKS' 38th Remodeling Excellence and Trades Remodeling Excellence (REX/T-REX) Awards. Presented by the Remodelers Council and Floorco, this lighting- themed celebration drew a crowd of radiant MBAKS members and spectators, all adorned in their most dazzling attire, ready for an electrifying spectacle and a contest that would leave a lasting glow. Held at Seattle's appropriately named Victory Hall, the awards show took us on a journey through the most brilliantly designed spaces, from bathrooms and kitchens to entire homes—historical renovations, outdoor retreats, all gleaming on this side of the Cascades. Like the light tunnel that guided attendees into the Under the Lights Under the Lights ballroom, each participant illuminated the path to victory, but only those with the brightest brilliance and savviest shine emerged triumphant. There were no dim bulbs among them. In the end, 27 projects from 19 remodeling companies (and 21 trades companies) ascended to greatness, basking in the glow of recognition. Every submission underwent meticulous scrutiny from a panel of professionals from across the nation, evaluating uniqueness, aesthetic appeal, craftsmanship, materials, and fiscal finesse. It seems like the stakes are elevated each year and 2024 was no exception. This year was a dazzling display of competition, but only the most radiant emerged victorious. The results speak volumes, and you can bask in their brilliance right here!
