They fell behind about 3 weeks and plan to be able to get the first paving of the road course down shortly. The runoff is being groomed and planted now, and things are moving apace. Those of you that have been out have seen the dramatic ���corkscrew��� descent off the ridge. We are planning a tour in November and have expressed interest in having DE, Skills Day, and Autocross events depending on the extent of the paving and size of facility at Phase I. Bill invited Rod Powell to come to Drivers Skills and Autocross on October 15th . The Highway 18 interchange cleanup went really well. Everyone survived and among all of the trash, we found car keys, $20, a proprietary airplane drawing, and more cigarette butts than you can imagine. Those of you who chose to stay home on this beautiful day missed all the adventure. Both sides of the interchange have been done until next spring. Year to date receipts total $234,424. Expenses total $170,706, resulting in year to date income of $63,718. We show $183,277 in available cash as of 9/30/11 with $86,755 in checking and $96,522 in short-term CDs. Summation: Club���s income is up 28K over this time last year. Total receipts are up 20K with increases in DE, Auto-X, Tours and dues receipts. Expenses are down 8K with reductions in DE expenses and donations. Available cash is up 27K. November 2011 Committee Chair Reports Advertising ��� Michael Sharps: Present - Report Submitted Invoiced 39 sponsors with 4 renewals. Autocross - Tim Kornacki: Present - Report Submitted The next event is on October 15th and the BMW Car Club will be joining us. Caveat Emptor - Dennis Coplen: Present - Report Submitted 16 ads have been submitted to the Spiel Editor. Concours - Dennis Rood: Present - Report Submitted The Kirkland Concourse d��� Elegance is moving from Kirkland to the LeMay Museum in Tacoma. Two of the four people who started Kirkland decided they were not able to continue. It will still be called the Kirkland Concours d���Elegance and held the same weekend, but 50% of the proceeds will go to the LeMay Museum. They want to continue the Tour de Jour, but Dennis is not sure if there would be a Porsche display at the Concours. A request may also be made to have a Porsche only show at Carillon Point in Kirkland. Starting January, we are offering the first restoration hands on clinic. Next year will continue with a couple of Concours. Database Coordinator - Leeds Gulick: Present- Report Submitted There are 1644 members of which 1259 are dues paying. 1399 copies of the Spiel are being mailed. One dues check was received and Leeds mailed 2 rosters. Rosters are provided upon request. Driver Education - Tom Pritchett: Not Present - Report Submitted See Chief Driving Instructor report. Chief Driving Instructor ��� Velle Kolde Present - Report Submitted The final event of the year was on the Sept 29th ��� hot and sunny. There were 121 total participants including 31 instructors. We will be hosting the instructor clinic sometime next year, and have received new shirts for the instructors.
