Candidate for SECRETARY JEANETTE DOWNS Thank you for your consideration to serve as Secretary for our region. Ive always been a passionate driver so much so that I have consistently had cars that have had more horsepower than my Porschephile husband over the past 8 years! I got involved with PCA through going to Driver Skills out at Bremerton I nervously went once in 2009 and since then have been another 7 times, and last year tried out DE for the first time!I spent 8 years as an executive administrator at Microsoft, before taking on the more challenging role of administering 2 small boys. I am also a student in the Psychology Program at Eastern Washington University. If elected, I will look for ways to continue to improve the communication of the business and activities of the club. I will do my best to understand and exceed your expectations. My husband and I have greatly enjoyed participating in the wide range of activities that our PCA PNWR Club offers, and were hoping that our boys will too as they grow up. The members weve met have been without exception engaging and entertaining. I look forward to serving you. Candidate for TREASURER MARY DOWNING My second year in the Treasurers position is coming to an end already. I would very much like to continue as your Treasurer. It has been a privilege to work with the Board Members and Chairpersons to help promote the Porsche experience. The Clubs financial position remains strong. The accounting system is up-to-date and has been expanded to capture more detailed data. A new requirement to file long form tax return was implemented successfully. Transactions were coordinated with the Clubs tax accountant to correct several issues. All federal and state tax documentation requirements for a 501C7 corporation are on file. A 32-year PCA/PNWR member, having served and participated in various Club positions and activities over the years is of immense help in performing the duties of Treasurer. Before retiring in December 2008, I was employed for 38 years for a worldwide manufacturing company in various management capacities including purchasing, plant operations, production, customer service and contracts. All these areas included fiscal responsibility for budgeting, forecasting and cost control. Ive appreciated the opportunity to become more involved in the Club and look forward to enjoying the 2012 activities. Thank you for your support this year and please vote for me again. Candidate for DIRECTOR-AT-LARGE BILL ROGERS I have been a PCA member since 1969. My wife Sheryl and I joined shortly after purchasing our first Porsche, a 1969 911E. I started in the Oregon Region and transferred to PNWR in 1983 when we moved to Seattle. I am a lifelong car nut having owned a series of Corvettes before my rebirth to Porsche. I have also owned street rods and classic American iron. I volunteer weekly at LeMay-Americas Car Museum, and have done this since my retirement in 2001. For the past three years I have been conducting Technical Sessions for the region and really enjoy doing this. It has allowed me the opportunity to meet many members of the region as well as work with our advertisers while arranging the presentations. The opportunity to serve on the board is one I would welcome for the next two years. PCA has given me many good times over the past 42 years and I am ready to serve the PNWR in the future. I would appreciate your vote in this years elections for the position of Board Member at Large. www.pnwr.org Nov. 16th November 2011 7
